October Scottish Trivia Contest Winner 3
The winner is Pam Pellini, with 159 words. Okay, to all of you who entered, I bow at your linguistic feet/feat (pun intended). You’re all super talented!
Robert Burns was the answer to the second question, and William Wallace owned the sword.
Scottish Trivia – October 1
Happy October 1!
I learned my lesson from the September contest. This one will be less homework and more fun.
Here are the rules: send your answers to karen@karenranney.com before 6:00 PM CDT October 17, 2009 with SCOTTISH TRIVIA OCTOBER in the subject line. In the case of more than one correct entrant, the winner will be chosen from a random drawing and will win:
- A tote bag
- My last two books and a copy of Sold to a Laird when it’s available.
1. How many words can you make from the letters found in the word SCOTLAND? (Please list them. The winner will have the largest list and answer the other questions correctly as well.)
2. Who is this?
3. Whose sword is this? Hint: the man looks nothing like the actor who portrayed him in the movie.
How easy are those?
Good luck!
