Cate S. is the winner of the 4/1/12 drawing for an ARC for ASS. (A Scandalous Scot).
I’ve sent Cate an email and all she needs to do is send me her address.

I was taught that it was impolite to toot one’s horn. In fact, I was taught that it was impolite to use the word “toot”. Ahem.
However, I think we – people – don’t say enough nice things about ourselves. Plus, we’re all too quick to cut ourselves down to size, don’t you think?
I have tiaras all over my office to remind myself to treat me like a princess. It’s not an easy thing for me to do, since I’m the world’s worst critic of Karen Ranney. I’m a work in progress.
So, in true Princess Karen fashion, I’m announcing that I received some great news about A Scandalous Scot. It will be a Featured Alternate Selection in the Summer, 2012 cycles of Rhapsody Book Club, Doubleday Book Club and BOMC2.
Isn’t that cool?
Plus, I received some bound galleys/Advance Reading Copies of A Scandalous Scot (it just amuses me no end that the kinda/sorta abbreviation is ASS for that book).
A Scandalous Scot is a June 26, 2012 book, which means it’s listed as a July book.
I’m going to do a weird drawing for one of those ARCs. If you’ve ever made a comment on Warm Fuzzies before today, you’re eligible. If you haven’t, then you need to comment for the next drawing (see how clever I am?).
So, the rules are: email me at karen@karenranney.com with BLOG ARC as the subject. This is mucho important, to enable me to identify it in case your email gets stuck in the Modus filter. Deadline: Midnight, March 31st. I’ll check to make sure you’ve commented before today, and if you have, off you go into the drawing pile. I’ll draw the winner April 1 and send out the ARC.
There’s a secret about A Scandalous Scot, too (hereafter known as ASS), and I’ll divulge it later. Hint: it has to do with a contest I ran in late 2011.
I’ll be doing a few more of these drawings here and on Facebook before June 1.
Okay, so I got all the “Autographed Copy” stickers on the books.
Oops, forgot to insert oodles of book marks, of which I have plenty.
But I got all ten winners of the A Scottish Love drawing (actually, 12).
And all the winners of the recent guest blog drawings.
And I autographed all the books – whew!
But I didn’t put in the little cards that said WHY readers received the books.
Ahem.
So, some of you are going to get books in the mail and you won’t know why.
Here are the reasons you received the books:
1. Either I ran across your entry and thought – wouldn’t it be fun to send them a book?
2. Or I drew your name in a drawing.
3. Or I had extra books and went looking for entrants from which to choose extra people.
Hint: if you send your physical address to me, you’re more likely to be chosen for one of those extemporaneous mailings.
