Flash all buckled in to go bye-bye. Please note the "abandon hope, all ye who enter here" expression.
I love that Flash makes me laugh. I adore his antics, and the fact that he runs through the house like a bullet train sometimes, ears flat, nose high, with that look in his eyes that announces he’s playing and having a wonderful time.
I love being tickled by videos and jokes that amuse me. I love silly TV humor and I’m often more juvenile then I like to admit.
In other words, I love to laugh.
I try, every day, to laugh at something. It’s a crusade. If I haven’t naturally laughed by day’s end, I go in search of something goofy, whimsical, or just plain dumb. I almost always find something.
To me, laughter is medicine. It’s a mood altering drug. It’s a pill without a pill. Laughter reminds me that nothing is ever that serious, that humor has a place in life.
How about you? Do you deliberately try to find something goofy in life? What’s the last thing that made you laugh?
Oh yes. Sassy (Demon Cat) as WendyK calls him. Why just yesterday, apparently it is mating season for cats in our neighorhood. He was so funny. When he heard the sounds, yea you know them. His ears went back, his eyes hugh, and looking at me like”did you hear that” ” what are they doing”"why” and “why can’t I play”…He was so funny,so serious and running from the patio doors to the windows, following them. Unfortunately, the “gray cat” we thought was a girl is really a boy…
So yes, we all need some laughter in our lives. Pets are a good medicine for laughter…

The last thing that made me laugh were my little grandsons. Days later I would think about something they did and I’d start laughing again. They are such a joy in my life.
One of my favorite quotes is
The Best Medicine is one that needs no prescription, has no unpleasant taste and costs nothing. It’s laughter.
Wood Lanier
I laugh every day – lots of times. I need we all of the endorphins we can get. The last laugh was from a joke forwarded to my computer from hubby’s computer. A minister at a wedding asked all of the men in the room to go stand next to the person who has made their lives complete. The bartender was nearly crushed to death! See? I hope I made YOU laugh too!
*whispering* I have been re-reading Shelly Laurenston’s Pride series, and the entire series if very sexy and very funny. *looks around for lightning to strike* Also, lover her Dragonkin series by G A Aiken.
oooh, last night I finished A Promise of Love by someone…if I can only remember her name….lol
Try Sandra Hill, especially her Viking II series ~ time traveling Viking SEALS. Hard to believe but funny.
Lynsay Sand’s Vampires are funny too. I can’t believe the ridiculous situations she puts those poor Argeneau’s into. They are vamps because they’re ancient Atlantians with nano’s that heal them in their bloodstream.
I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t laugh at something or about something. I love that my friends can say just about anything to me and I won’t be offended so there’s always a joke or two awaiting me in my email or on FB or on my blog, for that matter. Even when I feel at my worst, or angry over something annoying, laughing always lifts that dark cloud away. Laughter is a good thing! : )
I agree that laughter is the best medicine! My grandkids make me laugh. They say the funniest things.
Dogs and cats are great for laughter, My cats used to make me laugh all the time and Harvest does now. Today I was putting her bed for this house in the washer. I kept pulling things out of it. She had collected 3 towels (my fault there), a ball, a rope toy, her snuggie and a treat. That bed is not that big. Those of you that read Tartan Ink have seen pictures of it. Yes pets are good medicine as they bring laughter which is the best.
I was watching THE BIG BANG THEORY with my daughter yesterday. We laughed until the tears came. It was a wonderful, shared moment.
I just laughed when I saw the picture of Flash. Karen, I think that is one of the things that draws me to you, is the fact that you can bring me to tears laughing so hard at some things you say. SwtP, like Flash, goes on these speedy runs through the house and what’s so funny about them is that her butt is so close to the ground as she races past that sometimes I worry about her getting carpet burns. The cats are usually hunkered down by a piece of furniture so they can swipe at her as she passes through. I laugh alot each day. I’ve heard that the more you laugh, the longer you’ll live, so I look to be old as dirt before I pass
The best laugh I had in a long time was finding out how many old lady years it takes to move a queen size mattress across the street …It was 200+ My scots neighbor is 62 ,her mom with that wonderful accent at 85 ( I swear you could hear it in her laugh) and me at 66.We got to laughing so hard we could not go forward backwards or anywhere in between. That thing was waving with the weight of it and we were waving with it.
I was the tallest of us and I’m 5’2″
One of my aunts used to paint her upper lip orange….past the lipline up to her nose in an effort to look like her favorite celebrity, Lucille Ball. As a child, it fascinated me, and I used to lay on the floor at her feet and watch her mouth as she talked.
Yesterday I was putting my makeup on and decided to get silly….and painted my (normally thin) upper lip clear up to my nose – then stood back and laughed out loud when I saw how funny it was!

Reruns of Frasier always make me laugh. That show still is the best.
Yes, I love to laugh, too, and manage to laugh everyday – even if it’s at myself. My daughter’s cats usually make me laugh. And I sometimes get a bit silly so I can make my husband laugh – just to brighten his day. He’s a truck driver and at the end of the day, he really needs to relax and laugh.
